Art Direction - Opposing Ads
This solo project for our art direction class required us to come up with a concept for two controversial ads about the same topic that are directly opposed to each other. My topic was AI's use in visual arts. The format was decided for us as two ads that would show in the "Nashville Scene" – a local magazine.
The concept I settled on was one of handshakes and fists. The handshake is an inviting union between artist and machine, while the robot hand crushing the fist signifies the AI's potential to crush the artist and make them less valuable. The rest is fairly straightforward as I try to make AI look inviting and scary in their respective artworks.
